We are looking for an experience Business Development Manager to join our team covering London & South.
In the role you will be required to attend adviser meetings both virtually and face to face driving new and incremental premium income to Guardian from your panel of medium and large intermediaries. You’ll be expected to build relationships with paraplanners, administrators and advisers and act as the face of Guardian. You’ll be expected to deliver presentations across a combination of local and regional events as well as virtual and online meetings.
You will be responsible for delivering the Guardian brand and values in the best light, acting as a mentor and coach to the Business Development Consultants.

We are looking for experienced Life & Health ProtectionUnderwriters to join the team.
As an Underwriter at Guardian your day-to-day will vary greatly with your day-to-day tasks including:
- Effective and prudent assessment of risks that are processed within operational underwriting
- Providing thorough and robust justifications of decisions and referring cases to third parties including CMO and re-assurers
- Managing customer expectations and portraying Guardian’s high standards and underwriting services
- Providing retrospective underwriting of cases for the claims area and claims committee
- Driving efficiency improvements to reduce cost required to service new business and in-force book, including internal initiatives within the team as well as supporting cross-company projects.
You will be experienced with working in Life & Health Protection Underwriting with great customer service skills and the ability to manage your own time well and prioritise.

You will be responsible for optimising visibility of our proposition across the UK portal providers, product research agencies and third party/added value service providers.
Working from home, with frequent meetings in our Reading office and nationally, you’ll manage relationships with all portal and product research partners to make sure our proposition is maximised in all areas we choose to be visible.

We’re looking for a Project Manager who can support and deliver a range of projects that form part of our annual change portfolio. At any one time, we are managing a range of projects that either contribute to our product road map or serve to improve our internal systems and processes. Working together with the Senior Project Manager, colleagues in IT and with stakeholders across the organisation you will ensure the delivery of each project to defined metrics and business outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Owning all aspects of project delivery through from concept to closure.
- Assisting the Senior Project Manager with the management and delivery of a number of strategically important programmes of work on the 2024 portfolio.
- Creating and managing project plans including scope, schedule & budget.
- Effectively managing key project deliverables and dependencies in line with project schedule.
- Tracking & managing risks and issues that will impact the project delivery.
